Nick Mizock, Andrew Lawrence, and Micah Rutschman became musically familiar in the downtown Gallery 37 program in 2004 which was a pet project of the late, great, Maggie Daley. It took 8 years for them to reunite for a week of gigs in Chicago in 2012. Since then they have played a number of venues around the city including Jerry’s Sandwiches, El’s Kitchen, the Abbey Pub, and Todoroki Sushi and Hibachi. They pride themselves on a great familiarity with the standard repertoire of jazz but also enjoy forging new ground by ‘standardizing’ songs by more recent artists including MGMT, Mariah Carey, Ween, and more.
